Healthy bread made from bananas without sugar! Instead, we use protein powder, sweetener and oatmeal! That way the whole thing is even gluten-free and vegan!
Few ingredients but lots of taste!
So let’s get to the best part of the recipe: the ingredients. Because for this fitness recipe you don’t even need any fancy ingredients. All you need is: 1 egg, oatmeal (or regular flour), protein powder, coconut oil (or olive oil), a little almond milk (or milk) and 3 nice ripe bananas. Optionally you can also add some low-fat Greek Yogurt. This way you get a little more protein in your bread and at the same time you make it even juicier!
Tip: If you don’t have a mixer at hand, you can easily mash the bananas with a fork.
6 ingredients and 30 minutes of your time, that’s all you need!
Yes, I know that sounds almost like too much promised, but it is true. With these nearly 6 ingredients, you can make your own super juicy banana bread. The whole thing in not even 30 minutes!
So I hope you are as convinced as I am that with this recipe, you can make your own banana cake/bread!
So let’s not beat around the bush anymore and start with the recipe!

- Slowly add oatmeal, cinnamon and protein powder and continue mixing.
- Add the egg and mix until everything is well stirred.

- Bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove the finished banana bread from the oven and allow to cool a little.
- Cut into pieces and enjoy 🙂
My tip for the recipe:
Use ripe bananas! This provides extra banana taste. I would also recommend you not to use baking powder! I know that many recipes out there like to add baking powder. But the baking powder only makes the bread rise and collapse again, which just doesn’t look good and doesn’t taste perfect. So nothing you have to do.
I don’t think I have to say any more. Just try the recipe and see for yourself.
Banana bread nutritional values
For all who are interested: The bread itself has only 154 calories per portion of which 11g are protein! This makes it relatively low in calories compared to purchased products.
