Today I will introduce you to my forest fruit protein ice cream recipe. The ice cream itself is very low in calories and extremely “low-fat”. However, it is relatively high in carbohydrates and especially in fructose. Which just makes this ice cream a perfect post-workout dessert.
Making healthy ice cream yourself
As a small piece of information, before we get in to the actual recipe, one should know that no special kitchen equipment or anything else is needed for the preparation. Even better, it is already finished in less than 5 minutes.
Protein Forest Fruit Ice Cream
- 500 g frozen Berry mix
- 250 g Greek Yogurt (low fat)
- optional sweetener
- Put the frozen berry mixture in a mixing bowl and blend with a blender.
- Add the greek yogurt and continue mixing.
- Sweeten with a little sweetener or flavdrops if necessary.
- Fill into 3-4 small bowls and enjoy the finished ice cream!
